It could not have gone better and the group was still filled with images and emotions as we departed yesterday. The event has made the retreat very special and has given the partner group a new centre. McKINSEY Quote

Meetings in 3D

Are your break-outs breaking down? Your virtual meetings virtually useless? If the answer is yes, then you're wasting time and money.

We add a third dimension to meetings and conferences - and make a valuable difference to outcomes - by the use of facilitation.

We've got over 15 years of meetings experience, helping our clients create the right content and identify clear and achievable objectives. And we've done that pretty well. But there's still a niggle; a challenge to overcome. Poor output.

You know how it goes ...the Chair, the Moderator, the Breakout leader, your Host - whoever you choose - stands there and tries to get a group to agree what the challenge is (let's call it a breakthrough question) seeks divergent views, and then (theoretically) gets everybody to converge / agree / set the next steps … Sounds easy, but does it always work like that? We suspect not. That's why for us good facilitation is the 3rd dimension to your meetings and the one that ensures you reach a collective voice and vision and strong, valuable output.

Using proven models and techniques that get great results, and through our mantra of inspiring people, UpStage creates bespoke packages to address business priorities. We create the content and context of your sessions and take your people on a journey that enables them to understand, contribute, engage and deliver. We can make a real difference to:

  • strategic planning
  • fostering innovation & creativity
  • galvanising & engaging people in an agenda
  • developing the potential in others

Below are some examples of our recent facilitation work...

  • Turner Broadcasting System: 'High Potentials' programme. We facilitated a series of two-day workshops with Turner's identified 'high potentials'. We devised a programme that encouraged them to think creatively to produce new ideas for income streams or ways of working and then tested the robustness of those ideas in a collaborative environment with a proven process. The activity made the 'high potentials' feel recognized and valued as well as challenged and informed.
  • Ernst & Young: Entrepreneur Of The Year Forum. UpStage created a framework for idea generation at Ernst & Young's inaugural Entrepreneur Of The Year EMEIA Forum. With some of the EMEIA region's most prolific – and vocal - entrepreneurs in attendance, it was important to effectively channel their enthusiasm and ideas. Using a dynamic facilitation framework, we created and facilitated a series of interactive, collaborative sessions culminating in reaching a collective voice and vision.
  • Turner Broadcasting System: Appraisals. UpStage helped Turner to shape its appraisal process and then developed the right environment and the right communication tools for appraisers to improve their appraisal skills. Our facilitative approach helped managers at all levels to become more skilled at taking ownership in an energising and engaging manner.
  • UpStage has been partnering with development agencies and working with public sector professionals for over six years, facilitating cross-team collaboration and multi-agency working as a result of some complex national change programmes introduced by the Labour Government.

So, whether it's your conference break-out sessions that aren't working effectively or you need help with complex change management or strategic issues, our facilitation expertise could help you to achieve better results – whether you have two people or 2,000.
